Puzzle

Does anyone like puzzles as much as me??? I don't know what it is, but I love doing them! In Colorado we did (and finished) 2 puzzles, then we pulled out the daddy of all puzzles. "Gone With the Wind" it's 2000 pieces and huge. We worked on it years ago and saved the sections we completed. I got it out and tried to get it done before we left. It didn't happen, so I boxed it up again and carried it on the plane home. Phil and I have been working on it and it's done!!

Thank goodness...now I can clean my house and do laundry! :-)

Seattle Snow

So, we just spent a week in Colorado with very little snow...while we're gone it decides to DUMP on Seattle giving everyone a very white Christmas!!! We missed all the beautiful snow falling, sledding, traffic accidents, cars stranded, closed airport, and shoveling. We were bummed, but we're back home now and there's 12" of snow and it snowed for us today!! :-)

our dear friend shoveled a path to our front door

Dad's new foot massager (compliments of Grandma) so he'll quit begging his kids to rub his feet!!!! We are soooo grateful! :-)

Early Christmas

Since we're flying to Colorado this Wed. we needed to have our "own" Christmas gift giving. I guess Santa came early just for us.

On Sunday we celebrated with a Prime Rib roast, baked potatoes, Grama's famous green jello salad shaped like a wreath with cheeries, and yummy salad.

Fun Friday

So, the kids had pajama day at their school and Connor thought it included him (and I was too lazy to change him) so he stayed in his pj's too. Even went to speech in pj's. Later that night mom was not hungry and didn't know what to fix for dinner, the kids all wanted pancakes, sounds great to me! Pancakes it is...with chocolate chips!! :-)

Yoga anyone?

My dad (Grampa Dick) was here and stayed 2 nights with us. It's always good to have him. I'm sure his head spins with all the kids and commotion, but he handles it very well! :-) He walked the kids to school each morning, held and entertained the little babies, gave Bailey LOTS of lovin' (poor dog), went to Babies'R Us with me, and of course did Yoga with the kids. It's the first thing Mady asks when he comes, then it's, "Did you bring a present?"

Trick-or-treating

A Pirate, Angel, and Racoon...whatever I could scrounge up without spending a fortune.

So I started to do childcare and am watching twins! They are now 7 mos. old, Annabel and Gracie, they are just too cute. I've always wanted twins so this is the best of both worlds...I get to love and cuddle them during the day and have my nights and weekends free. :-) This was the compromise Phil and I made to doing foster care. I still want to do foster care so I'm praying about it and praying that God will speak to Phil's heart. It's a huge sacrifice and can be a strain on our family.
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this:
to look after orphans and widows in their distress and
to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27
Check out the sweet girls!
